batman!

Thank god for Nick at Nite. Don't the '60s just scream 'Quality Television' to you? (Keep in mind that you're reading the diary of someone familiar with The Monkees, I Dream of Jeannie, Monty Python, My Three Sons, some Bewitched and some Batman.) Batman is so cheesy that I can't help but like it. It's Batgirl night, or something, because all the episodes I've watched so far are Barbara Gordon intensive.

Useless Trivia: The Penguin was on the Monkees Episode "The Monkees Blow Their Minds" as a patron of the Club Cassandra. In the Penguin getup, too! Just so long as he looks out for...

Frogman!
And Rubin the Tadpole!

Whoa... The whole Batphone lights up. Doesn't leave much room for components, does it? What am I doing going on about ridiculous things in Batman? He carries Bat-Shark Repellant, fercryinoutloud.

Remember folks--Crime doesn't pay!

Eartha Kitt as Catwoman! Cool, though I have a special place in my heart for Julie Newmar, since she played April Conquest on the Monkees.

"Oh, Mike... You ride a bike!"

This is kind of funky! The same people acted in EVERYTHING. Louie the Lilac's henchman is the same as the henchman in Monkees A La Carte. I don't like that this is implying that the Flower Children are sinister... that they're the pawns of this supervillian played by Milton Berle. Well, maybe the Flower Children are redeeming themselves. It's hard to tell only six minutes into the show! :)

Robin: "The Flower Children think we're cool... We turn them on, you know?" HAHAHAHAHAHA!

More shades of Monkees A La Carte... THE PURPLE FLOWER GANG! Heeheehee. Louie the Lilac is totally decked out in purple. Ugh. I don't even LIKE lilacs.
